BORED PILE
What is a bored pile?
Bored pile; It is called the pouring of concrete by placing the iron reinforcement in the drilled well by drilling the ground with a circular cross section of a certain diameter and depth. Cylindrical, column-like vertical soil elements are called bored piles or cast-in-situ reinforced concrete piles. Bored pile anchorage is among the most applied construction methods.
Commonly used bored pile diameters are 45 cm, 65 cm, 80 cm, 120 cm and 150 cm. Bored pile lengths vary in the range of approximately 0-50 meters. The application is made with construction machines known as bored pile machines. Sheathed (pipelined), bentonite, bored pile applications have been developed on inconsistent soils (for loose soils, fillings, wet soils, etc.).
The pile system is among the construction methods commonly used in our country in soil improvement methods, level stability, deep excavations and piled foundations.
Why are bored piles made?
In today's crowded cities, the increasing importance of places necessitates the construction of buildings by making adjacent and deep excavations. With the deep excavations reaching depths of 40-50 meters and the gradual increase in construction, it has become inevitable to make constructions on unsound soils.
Bored pile foundation and bored pile shoring works are carried out to improve such deep excavations and unstable soils.
It is very important for new system structures to make optimum use of construction areas and to make unsuitable places suitable for settlement. Making environmental arrangements, as well as the construction of earthquake-resistant houses are among the purposes of pile systems.
